Our journey began in 1962, when Prathibha Shikshana Samithi was registered under the  Mysore Societies Registration Act  with a profound nationalistic vision: to educate for India. Our founder, Smt. Ahalya Bai, a dedicated freedom fighter and nationalist, believed that education was one of the most powerful acts of nation-building. For her, educating children meant shaping the future of the nation. This vision was nurtured and expanded over four decades by Smt. Uma Navaratna, who guided the institution through the changing landscape of Indian education while preserving its foundational values. Today, that rich legacy continues through a bold and contemporary transformation under the leadership of Dr. Deepti Navaratna.

A distinguished neuroscientist, Dr. Deepti Navaratna has brought together the worlds of scientific research and education to create a learning environment rooted in neuroeducation.

At Pratibha Academy, we recognise that every child learns differently. Rather than expecting every learner to follow the same path, we seek to understand the individual cognitive processes, learning patterns, strengths, and areas that require support.

Through non-invasive cognitive assessments and neuro-informed teaching practices, we gauge each child's understanding and learning needs. These insights help our educators adapt their teaching approaches so that concepts are introduced in ways that are meaningful and accessible to each learner.

Our focus extends beyond academic performance. We work towards strengthening the foundational cognitive and academic skills that enable children to approach areas such as reading, mathematics, comprehension, attention, memory, and problem-solving with greater confidence and understanding.

We believe that a child's brain develops through rich, varied and meaningful experiences. Education, therefore, cannot be confined to textbooks and classrooms. Our green campus in Banashankari, South Bengaluru, is designed as a multi-sensory learning environment where children learn through observation, movement, creativity, interaction and exploration.

At Pratibha Academy, art, music, theatre and yoga are integral parts of education. These experiences provide children with opportunities to express themselves, develop creativity, build confidence and engage with learning through different modes.

Sports and physical education are equally important to us. Through structured sporting experiences, children develop coordination, discipline, teamwork, perseverance and an understanding of their own physical abilities. From the art studio to the sports field, from music and theatre to yoga and cultural exploration, every experience becomes an opportunity to learn.

Our educational approach combines the CBSE framework with the principles of neuroeducation, creating a balance between academic rigour and individual learning needs.
